CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan -As part of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) simultaneous activity tagged as ‘Show Support and Compassion to Health Workers in the Fight Against COVID-19’, Bulacan police donated 22 complete sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontliners at the Bulacan Medical Center in this city Friday afternoon.
The BPPO also donated thousands of other essential supplies such as thousands of hand gloves, hundreds of face shields and face masks, as well as two aerosol boxes.
Acting Bulacan Provincial Director Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe led the Bulacan police in a short program and the hand over of the PPEs and other supplies to BMC conducted in front of the hospital.
“Alam po namin itong mga complete sets po na ito mas kailangan po ninyo ito bilang mga frontliner lalo pa at kayo ay nakaduty sa ospital. Kami po ang in-charge sa labas para po hindi na magkahawa pero kayo po ang mas mabigat ang hinaharap, so we are turning over the medical equipment,” Cajipe said.
He also vowed support and assistance to all the workers and assured them that he will defend them if need be.
BMC Director Dr. Rawland M. Domingo thanked the Bulacan PNP for the donations and said that these will help the frontliners feel safe and secure while serving the people.
“Nagpapasalamat kami on behalf of all the frontliners here in BMC dahil kami ang napiling pagkalooban nito. Kahit na sinasabi natin na wala kaming pinapakalat na fund drive, but donations like these are of utmost importance, as we all have already realized, PPEs can save lives,” Domingo said.
