In a report to Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, BI intelligence chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. identified the alien as 50-year-old Faisal Abdullah Almansour, who is now detained at the BI district office in Davao City pending his deportation.

Almansour was arrested at his home in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental on the strength of a mission order issued by Morente.

Manahan said the mission order was issued after the BI received a complaint from town Mayor Katrina Joy Orencia alleging that the Kuwaiti was the subject of numerous complaints from residents in the neighborhood.

The mayor said Almansour had caused chaos and trouble in the community.

Investigation revealed that the alien had overstayed in the country for more than seven years and that his passport already expired two years ago.

A check on Almansour’s travel record showed that he arrived in the country as a tourist on June 12, 2012 and has not departed since then.

There is also no record that he applied for an extension of his stay or conversion of his status.
