Several supermarkets dedicate priority lanes for medical frontliners

Several supermarket operators dedicated priority lanes for medical frontliners amid the enhance community quarantine period.

In a Facebook advisory on March 28, Saturday, SM Markets said during the quarantine period the supermarket is dedicating an express lane for all medical medical frontliners.

“During the quarantine period, we are dedicating an expresss lane for all medical frontliners to be able to get what they need and quickly get back to serving the nation as the heroes that they truly are. A simple salute to our fellow frontliners,” SM Markets said.

Meanwhile, Robinsons Supermarket has also dedicated a priority lane for medical frontliners.

“Thank you to our medical frontliners! Because when life is on the line, every second counts. Thank you for your service,” Robinsons Supermarket said in a Facebook post on Saturday.

On March 15, several mall operators announced that malls in Metro Manila will be temporarily closed to the public until further notice, as concerns over the spread of COVID-19 mounted.

Establishments offering basic services, however, will be open. These include supermarkets, drugstores, convenience stores, banks, and other essential establishments.
