CALASIAO, Pangasinan – About 80 public utility vehicles (PUVs), mostly tricycles, were impounded at the Calasiao Town Plaza here for violating the suspension on the operation of public utility vehicles (PUVs) during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Lt. Col., Joseph Fajardo , chief of police said, the implementation of the order pertained to the guidelines set forth in the imposition of ECQ and stringent social distancing measures in Luzon.
Fajardo said the violators were from Calasiao and nearby towns .
” Na-tikitan sila lahat at mabibigyan ng pagkakataon bukas (Monday) para makapagbayad ng penalty ang mga ito para makuha ang mga PUV nila (We gave them all citation tickets and they will be given the chance tomorrow to pay the penalty and get their vehicles back),” Fajardo told Manila Bulletin.
