“ We have to prioritize and subsidize the need of the indigent Kapampangans like the displaced workers, solo parents, transport group, minimum wage earners, job order employees and scavengers” he said during a meeting with department heads on Friday, March 21, at the Executive House in the Capitol Building here.

Pineda underscored that it would even be a win-win situation because the provincial government will be purchasing the rice from local farmers.

Pineda insisted that Pampanga had ample supply of food for the coming weeks, and the assistance was needed to alleviate the plight of workers displaced by the community quarantine, among others.

Pineda also called on more affluent Cabales to adopt a family and support them within the one-month quarantine period.

“Sana mag adopt po kayo ng isang family man lang sa isang buwan sa duration po  nitong quarantine na ito at malaking bagay na po na mabuhay ninyo ang isang pamilya” [I wish you could adopt at least one family for a month for this duration of quarantine. It is a big thing for you to help a family]. Pineda said.

Pineda will be meeting with the province’s barangay chairpersons on Saturday, March 22, with the agenda of how they can distribute the relief goods to their constituents.
