2 more Filipinos in Singapore test positive for COVID-19

Two more Filipinos tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Singapore.

According to a report from GMA news, case 205 is a 30-year-old woman who has a Singapore Long Term Visit pass and went to the Philippines last February 27- March 6.

The 35-year-old woman is case 211 who had an interaction with a previous case.

Both are under isolation at National Centre for Infectious Disease (NCID). A total of nine Filipinos tested positive for the virus in Singapore.

According to the Department of Health, one Filipino recovered from the virus.

Philippine Consul General Bernie Candolada said Singaporeans were reminded to take precautions in travelling to the Philippines.

“Travel with caution is simply a reminder for citizens of the degree of risks they are exposed to once they travel to the Philippines. It means that you are not prohibited to travel there but you should be aware of the danger” he said.

Candolada clarified that Singaporeans are not prohibited to travel to the Philippines.
