Opposition Senator Francis N. Pangilinan said Tuesday he and his wife, actress Sharon Cuneta, are well as coronavirus disease (COVID-19) stalks the country.

"Ok naman ako. Ok kami nina Sharon at mga bata. Walang mga sipon o ubo o lagnat. Naka-home quarantine mula pa nung Martes,’’ he said. (Sharon and I and our children are okay. We have been on home quarantine since last Tuesday.)

He issued the statement after learning that his Senate colleague, Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri, has been cleared of COVID-19 by the Department of Health (DOH).

Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian later sent a Viber message to Senate reporters that the DOH also cleared him of COVID-19 after he was tested by DOH last Friday.

Pangilinan said he is touched by those wanting to know how he and his family are faring.

"Mag-ingat lahat. Tiyakin ang social distancing. Maghugas ng kamay palagi at iwasan ang puyat at palakasin ang resistensya -- mag malunggay,’’ he said. (All of you should take care. Observe social distancing, wash your hands always, sleep well, and boost your immune system. Eat malunggay .)
