“To all priests, religious and faithful: Considering that people are now arriving from Manila and we don’t know if they are aware of the self-quarantine policy of Albay, and thus might still come church – thereby putting our faithful at risk – I hereby declare all the masses starting this afternoon SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY,” Baylon said in his announcement.

While suspended, faithful have been encouraged to hear masses aired on radio or TV.

Baylon also asked the Albayano Catholics to pray the Oratio Emperata in the fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)), and beg to the Lord to save everyone from deadly threat.

Earlier, Baylon also welcome livestreaming of masses in different social media flatforms.
