Two robbers killed in QC
Two men were killed by police in an encounter after they reportedly carted away the mobile phone, wallet, and the motorcycle of a food delivery service rider in Quezon City Tuesday morning.
Police said, 33-year-old Mark Anthony Cabiso of San Juan City sought their assistance after two unidentified armed men suddenly approached and held him up while he made a stop somewhere along Quirino Highway in Novaliches around 1:40 a.m.
Cabiso told authorities that his belongings, including his Yamahan Mio motoryclce, were forcibly taken away, prompting him to report the incident to officers of nearby Quezon City Police Station 4.
Authorities eventually received a telephone call from a concerned citizen, who said two men raised his suspicion after they were disassembling the parts of a motorcycle at a vacant lot in Jonaville Subdivision in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches.
Police went to the place to verify the report. They were about to approach the two men upon seeing them, but the gunmen immediately opened fire, prompting the lawmen to retaliate and killed them instantly.
Recovered from the scene were the stolen motorcycle, a handgun, several fired cartridge case of various firearms, and a bag containing the victim’s belongings, police said.

One of two suspects for killing a man and stealing his motorcycle nabbed in Manila
The Manila police have arrested one of the two suspects who killed a man and stole his motorcycle in Sampaloc, Manila on Sunday.
Jan Michael Teodosio, 25, jobless, resident of Barangay 230, Zone 31, Tondo, Manila, was nabbed on Monday, police said.
However, his cohort, identified by the police as Clint Robert Tallity, 26, resident of Sta. Cruz, Manila, remains at-large.
The suspects killed Jansen Esteban, 25, and stole his NMAX motorcycle on Sunday at about 2:30 a.m.
Investigation showed that Teodosio drove the getaway motorcycle while Tallity was the one who gunned down Esteban.
The arrested suspect, who is under police custody, may face charges for murder and motornapping, police said.
