The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), starting Monday (March 9), will be offering free rides for women in celebration of the National Women's Month.

The PCG announced on Saturday that it will launch its "ARANGKADA: Libreng Sakay Para kay Juana" campaign to give free rides for women and transgender women going to and from Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), Mall of Asia ( MOA ), Anda Circle, and Port Area.

The free ride will be available every Monday and Friday of March, starting March 9, and applies to all women regardless of nationality.

It will be available from 6 to 7 a.m. from PITX, as the point of origin in the morning; and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. from Port Area and Anda Circle in Manila as points of origin for the afternoon schedule.

The PCG said there is no need to show a valid ID to avail of the free ride.

Men may also avail of the free ride if there are remaining seats, said the Coast Gurad.
