Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo has welcomed the survey results and guaranteed the President’s commitment to "transparent" and "decisive" public service.

"All Filipinos are assured that the survey finding would not cause the Duterte Administration to be complacent, but instead serve as an inspiration for us to take another extra mile in rendering genuine service for our people and be a source of courage for our dedicated public servants in fighting the challenges that our country is facing today," he said in a statement.

He said the President is also determined to provide a safe and comfortable life for all Filipinos despite the criticisms from "fault-finders and detractors." The government also aims to create an environment of peace and progress for the country in line with his oath to serve and protect the people, he said.

He said the President remained "unmindful of the destructive narratives thrown to him by the incorrigible fault-finders and detractors." These detractors, he said, have been constantly repudiated by the majority of Filipinos as shown by recent surveys.

A latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed that public satisfaction with the Duterte administration soared to "excellent."

In the survey of 1,200 respondents last December, the administration earned a net satisfaction rating of +73, which is considered "excellent," the highest grade in the poll scale.

The administration's latest satisfaction grade is higher than the "very good" +67 satisfaction rating in September 2019.

Panelo, speaking to reporters earlier, lauded the latest public satisfaction rating as "excellent" news. He noted that the interest of the public remains the primary concern of the President.

"He has been very transparent, he has been very decisive. He has only one thought in mind -- provide comfortable life or every citizen of this country, create an atmosphere of peace and progress for this country regardless of the criticisms, the hurt coming from them, he does not care. he could not care less," he said.

"His mind is always focused on his oath of office of President which is to serve and to protect the Filipino people.”
