“During interview, he told the PNP that he is in the process of acquiring his passport. However, we discovered that D’Souza has not been renewing his visa,” Morente said.
Morente said the alien presented his ID as operations assistant of a realty company and a copy of his passport which expired in 2012.
Records showed D’Souza has been in the country since 2005 and overstaying for more than 14 years.
“He has violated the conditions of his stay by overstaying and engaging in gainful occupation without a proper visa,” Morente said.
D’Souza is temporarily detained at the BI holding facility in Davao City pending deportation.
