Manila drug bust topples 3 drug personalities, yields over P1-M worth of shabu

Three alleged drug personalities yielded over P1 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Ermita, Manila Monday evening.

Arrested were Asia Ambang, 30, and Hanan Otto, also known as Joe Raihan Tantong, 29, both residents of Quiapo, Manila; and Nasser Salik, 27, resident of Luzon Avenue, Quezon City.

Elements of Manila Police District’s Police Station-5 Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the drug bust at about 9 p.m.

Investigation showed that the three suspects were arrested after they transacted a drug deal with a poseur buyer. A total of seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 200 grams and worth P1.36 million were seized from the suspects.

Also recovered were some of the suspects' personal belongings and the marked money.

The suspects are now under police custody and will be facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
