Authorities seized a total of P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu in a drug sting, which led to the arrest of five individuals, led by Quezon City police in Pasay City Tuesday evening.

Police arrested Erwin Peredo, 29, who was the subject of the operation; her mother, Carolina Peredo, 50; Jairabelle Arandia, 24; Jericson Arandia, 20 and Domingo Maglaque, 46.

Members of Quezon City Police Station 4 initially set the sting against Erwin in Ortigas after getting information about his drug peddling activities.

However, police said, the suspect decided to just meet them instead at an apartment in Malibay, Pasay City past 5:30 p.m., where the transaction was then consummated.

After handing the alleged illegal drugs to a poseur buyer, Erwin was immediately arrested. His mother and his mother’s live-in-partner, Maglaque, tried to intervene, leading to their arrest.

The two Arandias were also nabbed after Erwin told police that they were allegedly the suppliers of the suspected illegal drugs.

Recovered from the area were three mobile phones, two belt bags and a digital weighing scale.
