The University of the Philippines Department of Psychology will hold a public lecture on the forms of civic engagement in the Philippines on February 28, Friday.
“We will talk about democracy, the ideal citizen, and how these ideas color themselves in the Philippine setting and unpack how to foster political engagement in the Philippines,” the event description read.
“PAANO BA/YAN? Unpacking forms of Civic Engagement in the Philippines” will be held at LH 309 Lagmay Hall Africa St., UP Diliman, Quezon City from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
“I’ll be discussing activism, formal political participation, civil participation, and disengagement,” said UP professor Diwa Malaya Quinones.
Slots are limited and will include light snacks.
The lecture is in line with the campus’ celebration of Social Psychology Month.
