CAMP P.RIZAL, Sta. Cruz, Laguna – The Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO) now has a new director in Col. Serafin Petalio II, who replaced Col. Eleazar Matta. Petalio was installed by Police Regional Office-Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) Director Brigadier General Vicente Danao Jr. Wednesday at this camp.
Petalio was designated acting provincial director effective February 20, but the formal turn-over of command ceremony was held only Wednesday in accordance with a PNP directive.
Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez witnessed the change of leadership of the LPPO.
Petalio said, in a statement, that he would continue the PNP's programs on anti-illegal drugs campaigns, anti-criminality operations and police set-up programs to maintain the peace and order of the province of Laguna.
Petalio also assured that the "no-take policy" would be strictly enforced in all police stations under the LPPO, as well as eradication of gambling and other illegal activities based on the order of PNP Chief General Archie Gamboa.
