He said they immediately coordinated with the concerned law enforcement agencies to hatch out the plan to arrest Khalid and Khalil.
An undercover agent successfully bought P1.5 million worth of shabu from the two suspects, Encinas said. The team immediately accosted the suspects after the deal was consumated.
“This is a very commendable accomplishment of our troops and our partners from the PDEA and PNP [Philippine National Police],” said Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana, commander of the WestMinCom.
“Let us continue to converge our efforts and work harmoniously for the Filipino people and for our country,” he added.
The troops recovered from the suspects the buy-bust money, a kilo of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P6.8 million, various identification cards and two wallets.
Khalid and Khalil were placed under the custody of the PDEA-BARMM for documentation and filing of appropriate drug-related charges.
