The effects of the northeast monsoon or "amihan" over the country has slightly weakened on Saturday but was still the dominant weather system in Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astonomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the "amihan" will likely bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau advised the public to take precautions against possible flash floods over low-lying areas or landslides in mountainous communities during severe thunderstorms.
By Sunday, PAGASA said a fresh surge of the "amihan" over the extreme Northern Luzon will bring cloudy skies and light rains over Batanes and Babuyan group of islands.
Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy skies with chances of light rains, while Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
By Monday and Tuesday, PAGASA said a frontal system, or the boundary between cold and warm air masses, may form due to the resurgence of "amihan."
It may bring cloudy skies, scattered rain showers, and isolated thunderstorms over Aurora, Quezon, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and Masbate.
Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Apayao will be cloudy with light rains, while the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy skies with some isolated light rains.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
