The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the Parade of Stars for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Summer edition will be held in Quezon City on April 5, 2020 (Palm Sunday).

The parade will begin from Welcome Rotonda-Quezon Avenue and end at Quezon Memorial Circle, MMFF Executive Director Rochelle Ona said.

The Parade Committee, headed MMDA officials, inspected the parade grounds with Tetta Tirona, Quezon City Tourism Head; and Dexter Cerdenas, Traffic Head; and other representatives from the local government.

It will be over 6 kilometers and is expected last for two hours and 30 minutes, MMDA said.

“We are very excited for the first-ever MMSFF in April. This early, preparations for the Parade of Stars have begun to ensure that the event will be an exciting day for Filipino movie goers,” MMDA and MMFF Chairman Danilo Lim said in a statement.

Just like the regular MMFF during Christmas, the Parade of Stars is one of the highlights of the Summer edition that will showcase floats carrying celebrities of the official entries.

“The MMFF Summer edition will officially open on April 11, Black Saturday, where eight full-length films will be shown exclusively in theaters nationwide for an 11-day period,” the agency said.
