Airport personnel equipped with personal protective suits

In preparation for the possible entry of patients infected with the new coronavirus (nCoV), personnel of the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminals are equipped with disposable personal protective suits to assist incoming passengers positive for nCoV.

BOQ doctor on duty Geraldine Yangson said "We have all the safety suits in assisting incoming passengers from China, Hong Kong, and Macau, and other parts of the world that are ."

"We have different suits for Ebola virus, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERSCoV) and novel coronavirus, one-time use only, except for the rubber boots that can be washed," Yangson said.

She added that the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) provided the BoQ with an isolation room near the tarmac to properly care for any incoming passenger infected with nCoV.
