Authorities seized P4.08 million worth of suspected shabu from a 20-year-old man who was listed in the drug’s watchlist during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City Sunday morning.

Police arrested Jamael Hzainal of Bgy. Culiat. His cohorts, Nabel Makabato, 27 and Ricondaya Magarang, 51, were also collared by authorities.

Investigation reaching the Quezon City Police District said that operatives from Talipapa Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a sting against the suspects at Mayon St. corner Quezon City around 10:30 a.m.

Police said that they conducted the operation after weeks of surveillance. After a P20,000 worth of drug transaction with a poseur buyer, Hzainal and his two cohorts were immediately arrested.

Seized from them were 600 more grams of suspected shabu placed in 12 sachets and plastic bags.

Police also recovered two cellular phones which they allegedly used in drug transactions and a Toyota Fortuner which they used as their service vehicle.

The three might face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, police said.
