Delivery boy shot dead in QC

A delivery boy was shot dead on his way home by two unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen in Quezon City on Saturday morning.

Police identified the victim as Michael Kaizzer Magpantay, 29, resident of the city.

Florentino, victim’s father, said that his son was already on his way home when the incident happened on Ignacio Diaz St. around 3:30 a.m.

Albino Romero, a security guard of nearby establishment who witnessed the incident, told police that he saw the back rider of the motorcycle got off from the vehicle before approaching the victim.

Police said that Romero initially thought that Magpantay and the gunman was only fighting as the victim was trying to get something from the latter.

But after hearing two gunshots, the witness then saw the victim lying on the floor and covered with blood. The assailant immediately boarded their vehicle and fled the crime scene with his companion towards EDSA.

Florentino believed that his son might have been robbed as his mobile phone was missing.

Police recovered two fired cartridge case of unknown caliber.
