Wilcon Depot has joined forces with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Local Government Units (LGUs) in providing relief assistance to families displaced by the phreatic eruption of Taal Volcano.
The country's innovative home improvement and construction supply retailer said its humanitarian aid went to the areas seriously affected by the Taal eruption in the provinces of Batangas, Cavite, and Laguna.
Wilcon said corporate citizenship demands the private sector to be ready in responding immediately to the needs of the community during natural disasters.
“Amidst all the crisis, Wilcon Depot recognizes the need to help and contribute to its community. Which is why, Wilcon distributed the relief goods through the assistance of its local workforce in coordination with LGUs and NGOs,” the company said.
