The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is looking for volunteers who will help in sorting out and repacking relief goods for the families affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano.

Interested individuals may go to PRC Logistics and Multi-Purpose Center (PLMC) at Pinatubo corner Apo Street in Mandaluyong City, which is located at the back of PRC Tower.

Volunteers are urged by the PRC to wear red shirts and bring their water tumblers.

The PRC said the schedules of the sorting and repacking of relief goods from January 21 to 26 are as follows:

Shift 1: 9 a.m. to 12 noon
Shift 2: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Shift 3: 4 p. m. to 8PM

“Interested individuals may send us a message or contact Peter Miles Sollesta at +639266193226. For Red Cross Youth Volunteers, you may reach Tin Bagaforo at +639995666959 or just come and visit us at the 9th floor, PRC Tower, 37 EDSA corner Boni Ave. Mandaluyong City to sign-up,” PRC said in a Facebook post.

Batangas Governor Hermilando “Dodo” Mandanas thanked the PRC, especially its members and volunteers, for the assistance it extended to the victims of the eruption.

The governor also called for more help for the displaced families in the province.

Madanas said the medical tents sent by the humanitarian organization are a big help since patients, doctors, and nurses from their 12 hospitals – 11 district hospitals and 1 provincial hospital – were also evacuated to a safer place.
