The Pasig City Government will be donating a total of P12.5 million to those affected by the Taal volcano eruption, the city’s chief executive announced on Monday.
In his Facebook page, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said that they will be donating P7.5 million in cash to 15 affected Local Government Units.
The city chief executive said that they will also be donating P5 million worth of food and non-food items to the victims.
This is to address the immediate needs of the thousands who were hit hard by the eruption of Taal Volcano.
Mayor Sotto told the Manila Bulletin that they may send the donation “possibly on Thursday. We are still working out the best time with the LGUs there.”
Congressman Roman Romulo will be representing the city during the sending of the donations, Mayor Sotto added.
