“Hindi ganito karami ‘yung guests namin madalas. Pero ngayon, dire-diretso ang dagsa,” said one of the bellboys of a hotel in Santo Tomas town, Batangas.

The Manila Bulletin saw several cars carrying bags of belongings parked in and outside various hotels in the province.

People would have to travel as far as 25 kilometers as some hotels and inn in areas near the affected Agoncillo and Talisay towns can no longer accommodate guests.

Motorists passing through Lipa, Cuenca, Alitagtag, and Sta. Teresita do not experience poor visibility despite the continuous activity of the volcano, while businesses in the area, including gasoline stations, hotels, and fast food restaurants, also remain in operation.
