12 Caraga PNP officers recognized for academic excellence

BUTUAN CITY – The commissioned officers, who showed academic excellence during their Public Safety Basic Officers Course (SOBC) held recently in Davao City, were recognized Friday day by the regional command of Caraga Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13).

Police Lieutenant (PLt) Joseph L. Arnaiz emerged as the Class Valedictorian, Top 1 of Class 2019-55, and Top 1 for 100 percent Firearms Proficiency.

Others who were recognized were: PLt. Venecar S. Rosialda – Top 1 of Class 2019-60; PLt. Cherry M. Ato – Top 3 of Class 2019-55; PLt. Noel Cres C. Buque – Top 3 of Class 2019-60; PLt. Raymark L. Gentallan – Top 4 of Class 2019-55; PLt. Anne B. Cubio – Top 5 of Class 2019-55; PLt. Fritzcel V. Cubillan – Top 5 of Class 2019-61; PLt. Noel C. Barde – Top 7 Class of 2019-60; PLt. Adeline S. Intencion – Top 8 of Class 2019-57; PLt. Januario U. Pontillo – Top 8 of Class 2019-58; PLt. Bernardo B. Abian – Top 9 of Class 2019-58.

The 12 officers were among the 397 newly appointed police commissioned officers from police regional offices in Region 10, 11, and 13, including the National Support Units.

They were awarded during the Graduation Ceremony last December 20, 2019 by Philippine Public Safety College in Davao City.

“PRO13 will be giving ‘Medalya ng Kasanayan’ to Top 1 while the rest will receive ‘Medalya ng Papuri’ as recognition of their achievements,” PRO 13 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Joselito T. Esquivel, Jr. yesterday said.

“They have brought honor and pride not only to the police force but also to the entire Caraganons,” the region’s police chief added.
