Sony at CES 2020 made a surprise drop of its Vision-S electric car concept. It is a showcase of Sony’s tech put together, featuring 33 sensors, 360-degree audio, and widescreen displays.
The interior is something from a near-future concept. Not too alien but modern enough to be believable within the decade. The dashboard itself is what Sony dubs as a Panoramic Screen. Each seat also features its own speakers. And the two front seats will have displays at the back for rear passengers’ viewing. All of this plays out in Sony’s “enjoy video anywhere at any time” idea.
Among its smart features will include Vision-S Link. A connection between the Vision-S and the smartphone. The idea here is to “summon” your vehicle from where you are. If you’re listening to music on your phone, that music will automatically shift to the car in one seamless transition.
At least, that’s gist of what Sony has envisioned for the Vision-S.
