Duterte orders mandatory repatriation of Filipinos in Iraq

President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday has ordered a mandatory repatriation of all Filipinos in Iraq due to the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran.

"Ang marching order sa amin ay mandatory repatriation," said Jomar Sadie of the Philippine Embassy in Iraq, a report from CNN Philippines indicated.

Alert level 4 was raised in the country as tensions escalate between the two countries.

Sadie said the marching order was issued by President Duterte to different government agencies and embassies to evacuate all Filipinos in Iraq.
