Stocks up on last trading before Christmas

There was some Christmas cheer at the local stock market yesterday as investors painted the boards green.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gained 99.48 points, or 1.28 percent, to end at 7,872.60 as all sectors advanced except for the Services counter which was in the red.
A total of 478.95 million shares worth P8.3 billion changed hands as gainers beat losers 128 to 58 while 54 where unchanged.
