This will be done to accommodate the construction of the Common Station or the Unified Grand Central Station (UGCS), which will connect the systems of LRT-1, MRT-3, and MRT-7.

The company has advised two alternative routes for northbound passengers: the Baclaran to Monumento circuit and Baclaran to Balintawak circuit.

Passengers whose last stop is Roosevelt station are advised to take the Baclaran to Balintawak circuit wherein a special shuttle train from Balintawak will take the passengers to Roosevelt station, while the passengers from Roosevelt station will be fetched by the shuttle train to take them to Balintawak station.

The purpose of the Baclaran to Monumento station is to lessen the build-up of passengers since it’s the second busiest station of LRT-1.
