City Ordinance No. 2019-17 states that single parents with an annual income of P120,000 or less may receive financial aid of P1,000 from the city government every school year.

Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco said in a statement that he recognizes the hardships that solo parents go through and that he wants the local government to provide aid to make single parents' lives easier.

Those who wish to avail of the cash grant must be registered voters in Navotas, have children who are enrolled in any public school in the city and have a solo parent identification card validated by the Navotas City Social Welfare and Development Office.

Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or those who are receiving a monthly pension from a public or private entity may not avail of the financial assistance.
