Marikina Police seize P1.7-million shabu in follow-up operation in Montalban

After two alleged drug couriers ratted out their source of illegal drugs, Marikina Police on Wednesday seized P1.7 million worth of shabu in a follow-up operation in Montalban, Rizal.

Prior to the big seizure, Marikina police apprehended Dominaca Buena , 24, and Carmelita Lacson, 21, in a drug sting. Both of them are residents of Antipolo City.

Colonel Restituto Arcanghel said the suspected drug couriers named Ma. Nina “Mayang” Flores, the second most wanted person in Marikina, as their source of shabu.

Based on a police report, a team of Marikina policemen went to the house of Flores at Block 6, Lot 40, Green View Phase 2, Eastwood in Barangay Montalban, Rizal around 3:30 a.m. to transact with her.

Six other suspected drug personalities were arrested during the follow-up operation, they were identified as Mark Ericson Yusoya, 32; Kenneth Scanilla , 21 ; Marenell Bona , 19 ; Norving Aquino, 23 ; Mary Grace Sarmiento, 35 ; Darwin Samson, 32. All are residents of Barangay Tumana, Marikina.

A total of 250 grams of suspected shabu was found inside the house of Flores, the Marikina Police chief said.

On Tuesday, Buena and Lacson were nabbed in a buy-bust along BG Molina St. in Barangay Parang, Marikina at 11:30 p.m.

Seized from them were six sachets containing shabu, and the P500 marked money.

Last Monday night, the Regional Special Operations Unit (RSOU) and Marikina Police seized 1,150 kilograms of shabu worth P7.4 million from two suspected big-time drug peddlers in a buy-bust operation along Libis St. in Barangay Concepcion, Marikina.

The two drug personalities that the RSOU apprehended were Christian Lucero, 18 , and Jomalynn Poblete, 23. They are both residents of Barangay Tumana, Marikina.
