“You are hereby directed to ensure that there is sufficient number of technical and support personnel and standby generators with extra fuel, tools, and spare equipment in the areas to be affected by incoming Typhoon ‘Tisoy,’” the NTC said in its memorandum.

Prepositioning mobile cellsites in the affected regions were also ordered and should be made ready for deployment anytime.

With the ongoing 30th Southeast Asian Games, telecommunications companies were also directed to closely monitor PAGASA Tropical Cyclone Advisory and coordinate with Director Jovita Chongco, NTC Focal Person for the SEA Games.

NTC also reminded the companies to submit reports of the status of their respective network and facilities.
