After the holding of the current 30th Southeast Asia (SEA) Games, a post-game analysis is needed.
Senator Sherwin Gatchalian stressed this Saturday as the sports event formally started November 20, 2019.
Gatchalian supported the current ceasefire on criticisms where the Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) made mistakes so as not to demoralize Filipino athletes.
After the Games, there should be analysis on where the Philippines made mistakes, if any, or whether there were shortcomings, Gatchalian said.
There should also an audit on the billions of pesos spent for the Games, he added.
‘’Kasi darating ang araw maghohost uli tayo kaya pagaralan natin ang mga pagkukulang natin para pag dumating ang panahon na tayo ay mag-host alam natin ano ang gagawin,’’ he pointed out. (Time will come when we will again host such games so we should analyze where we made mistakes and we will know how to deal with it.)
The hiccups in the past days are isolated, he pointed out.
Gatchalian, chairman of the Senate basic education, said PHISGOC’s preparation was 99 percent alright.
