Airlines warn passengers of heavy traffic during SEA Games

With the Southeast Asian Games being held in the country from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11, various airlines have issued advisories warning passengers of heavy traffic near games venues and to give themselves ample time to make it to their flights or destinations.

Heavy traffic is also expected in Clark and Subic, areas north of Manila where other games venues are also located.

Among the choke points in Metro Manila are:

  1. South Luzon Expressway Northbound
  2. Mindanao Avenue
  3. North Avenue to NLEX, Quezon City
  4. Roxas Boulevard corner G. Puyat (Buendia)
  5. Roxas Boulevard corner P. Ocampo Street
  6. Roxas Boulevard
  7. P. Burgos Street, Manila
  8. Taft Avenue corner P. Ocampo Street
  9. Adriatico Area, Manila
  10. Quirino Avenue corner Adriatico Street, Manila
  11. Shaw Boulevard corner Pioneer Street Pasig City
  12. N. Domingo–FilOil, San Juan City
  13. Lawton Avenue corner Bayani Road, Taguig City

The games venues are:

  2. Cuneta Astrodome
  3. SM Mall of Asia Arena
  4. SM Mall of Asia Skating Rink
  5. World Trade Center
  6. Philippine International Convention Center
  7. Forum SM Megamall

  11. Muntinlupa Sports Complex

  13. Makati Coliseum
  14. Manila Hotel tent
  15. SM Megamall Ice Rink
