With the Southeast Asian Games being held in the country from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11, various airlines have issued advisories warning passengers of heavy traffic near games venues and to give themselves ample time to make it to their flights or destinations.
Heavy traffic is also expected in Clark and Subic, areas north of Manila where other games venues are also located.
Among the choke points in Metro Manila are:

- Mindanao Avenue
- North Avenue to NLEX, Quezon City
- Roxas Boulevard corner G. Puyat (Buendia)
- Roxas Boulevard corner P. Ocampo Street
- Roxas Boulevard
- P. Burgos Street, Manila
- Taft Avenue corner P. Ocampo Street
- Adriatico Area, Manila
- Quirino Avenue corner Adriatico Street, Manila
- Shaw Boulevard corner Pioneer Street Pasig City
- N. Domingo–FilOil, San Juan City
- Lawton Avenue corner Bayani Road, Taguig City
