Over P80,000 worth of shabu seized in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas sting ops
Some 11.92 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine) worth more than P80,000 was seized in three separate buy-bust operations in Caloocan, Malabon, and Navotas City Tuesday.
Elements of the Caloocan City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Rommel Vista, Rode Manansala, and Prince Batac after they transacted a drug deal with a poseur buyer at Barangay 28 in Caloocan at about 1 a.m.
Four sachets of suspected shabu weighing five grams and worth about P34,000 and P300 in marked money were retrieved from the suspects.
At about 4 a.m., Kevin Cecnio, 26, and Sonny Borromeo, 44, were nabbed after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth P200 to a poseur buyer in a sting at Barangay Dampalit in Malabon.
Police recovered six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 2.82 grams with an estimated value of P19,170 from the suspects.
Two hours later, elements of the Navotas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit collared Vincent Dee, 18; Mark Legaspi, 36; and Larry Sinoy, 40, in a drug bust at Barangay San Roque in Navotas.
Six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 4.1 grams with an estimated worth of P28,560, the P400 marked money, and P300 in cash were seized from the suspects.
The confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Northern Police District Crime Laboratory Office in Caloocan for laboratory examination.
The suspects, who are now under police custody, will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Minka Klaudia Tiangco)
Minors in conflict: 16-year-old girl stabs 13-year-old boy
A 16-year-old girl was nabbed for stabbing a 13-year-old boy at Barangay Longos in Malabon City Monday evening. Both are out-of-school youths.
According to a report, the victim -‘Takeshi’ – is now confined at Tondo Medical Center.
Investigation showed that the suspect – ‘Meling’ – was surrendered by her uncle to Police Community Precinct-3 Tuesday at about 2:30 a.m. She was then brought to Ospital ng Malabon for medical verification and later to Tondo Medical Center for confrontation.
Police said the suspect, who is now under protective custody, will undergo inquest proceedings. (Minka Klaudia Tiangco)
