A post by the 2019 SEA Games Facebook page said Cayetano personally apologized to the football teams from Timor Leste, Myanmar, Cambodia, Singapore and Brunei for “some inconveniences caused by the delayed transport and accommodation.”

Cayetano was seen talking to some of the athletes and coaches from the participating countries.

The post also read, “ALL IS WELL THAT ENDS WELL.”

Cayetano also assured the teams that the Philippine hosting will be “great and meaningful for everyone.”

On Nov. 25, PHISGOC apologized for the problems encountered by men’s football teams upon their arrival in the country.

“We sincerely apologize to our athlete guests from Timor-Leste, Myanmar, and Cambodia for the inconvenience caused to them by the confusion regarding their transportation and hotel arrangements,” PHISGOC said in a statement.
