Some 81.4 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine) worth half a million pesos was seized in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Caloocan and Navotas City Thursday and Friday.
Archie Del Mundo, 42, and Jar-R Tojino, 41, yielded six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 14 grams and worth about P95,000 when they were arrested in a sting operation at Barangay San Roque, Navotas at about 2:45 a.m Friday.
Fifteen minutes prior to this, police collared Manuel Ocha, 48, Salde Fernandez, 23, and Aaron Mico Gala, 19, after they transacted a drug deal with a poseur buyer at Barangay 8 in Caloocan.
Eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams and with an estimated value of P97,500 were retrieved from the suspects.
On Thursday, police nabbed Dave Angeles, 35; Mico Robles, 24; Raymond Adalin, 24; Lewie Garcia, 42; and Joseph Bergantin, 45, after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth P300 to a poseur buyer at Barangay Tangos North in Navotas at about 10 a.m.
Twenty-four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 38 grams and worth about P258,000 were confiscated from the suspects.
A few hours before this, Roberto Alcantara, 46, and Rhodora Joaquin, 40, yielded three sachets of suspected shabu weighing 14.4 grams with an estimated worth of P97,920 in a drug bust at Barangay Tangos South in Navotas.
The seized pieces of evidence were brought to the Northern Police District-Crime Laboratory Office in Caloocan for laboratory examination.
The arrested suspects will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
