“ACN Philippines would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to His Excellency Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia, our beloved Papal Nuncio, who now has a new assignment as the Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations,” said ACN Philippines national director Jonathan Luciano over Church-run Radio Veritas.

Luciano said, the Papal Nuncio, has always been supportive of the programs of ACN Philippines in the country.

“He was the first one to celebrate the Red Wednesday Mass during our first prayer campaign for persecuted Christians on November 22, 2017. He was so gracious to receive that invitation even if he has just arrived in the Philippines for his new assignment as Papal Nuncio, and after that we have been supported by the Apostolic Nunciature and the Apostolic Nuncio himself in all our activities. We thank His Excellency for his prayers, for his Fatherly love, and for his unwavering support to the Aid to the Church in Need,” Luciano said.

“We are behind him as we pray for his success in his new assignment,” he added.

Pope Francis assigned Caccia as Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines in 2017. He is set to leave for New York in the United States for his new assignment on January 16, 2020.
