Probers of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Quezon City (BFP-QC) said the blaze engulfed parts of the two-story building of Uni-Luck Food Products located along Nipas Drive in Barangay Balon-bato.

Senior Fire Officer 3 Rolando Valeña said the fire broke out at 2:56 a.m. after one of the establishment’s ovens or "pugon" caught fire.

According to Valeña, the ember of the firewood possibly ignited the fire and quickly spread to other combustible materials.

The blaze also reached the second floor of the building as it is made out of wood.

The fire was immediately raised to second alarm at 3:07 a.m. or at least 10 minutes after it started.

At least 30 to 40 percent of the factory were burned by the fire that lasted for more than an hour before it was put out by firefighters at 4:09 a.m.

Estimated damage of fire was pegged at P30,000.

No injuries or casualties were reported as the factory is still closed when the incident happened.
