The Malaysia-Philippines Business Forum is slated in Davao City on November 20, 2019, at the Marco Polo Davao Hotel.
Organized by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) in partnership with the Davao Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Malaysia-Philippines Business Forum aims to foster and enhance trade and investment relations between the two countries. Representatives of 38 private Malaysian companies are flying in from Kuala Lumpur to attend the event.
Five industry sectors are being targeted, namely: Food and beverages, personal care, construction and building materials, ICT, and logistic services.
Among program includes business forum, cluster visits and B2B meetings which are hoped to bridge Malaysian companies to potential business partners and buyers in the Philippines as well as serve as an avenue for companies to better understand the Philippine market’s dynamics through various engagements.
“We are excited to have this inaugural event in Davao City and hopefully more Malaysian companies can gain access into the Southern Philippines. The prospect for Malaysian businesses in this market remains promising, given the size of the market and growth of the economy’, said the MATRADE Manila Trade Commissioner, Ms. Siti Azlina.
Guests of honor at the event include officials from Davao City Council and Davao City Investment Promotion Center. It is also being supported by Mindanao Business Council.
