Taylor Swift

With numerous Grammy Award, MTV Music Award, and Billboard Music Award tittles, American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift will add another achievement under her belt, as she will be named Artist of the Decade at the upcoming American Music Awards.

To date, the “Lover” singer has been recognized as Artist of the Year at the AMA four times.

In total, Taylor has won 23 AMA awards, making history as the female artist who has bagged the most trophies from the AMA.

“She’s won more #AMAs than anyone this decade. She’s a five-time 2019 #AMAs nominee,” according to an Instagram post by AMA. “And she’s performing at this year’s #AMAs live on Nov. 24…@taylorswift is our ARTIST OF THE DECADE!”

Taylor will be the first female musician and the second singer to receive this award. The only and first musician who has ever received the Artist of the Decade Award is Garth Brooks back in 2000.

The 47th annual American Music Awards will be on Nov. 24 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
