PDEA conducts drug tests to bus drivers

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday conducted simultaneous surprise mandatory drug tests to bus drivers in the bus terminals in Pasay City and Quezon City while K9 sniffed for contraband in the said premises to ensure public safety with millions expected to troop to the provinces for the observance of All Saints Day and All Souls Day.

PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino explained that OPLAN “UNDASPOT” was enforced in coordination with Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

On Monday, representatives from PDEA, LTO, and LTFRB proceeded to JAC Liner Bus Terminal, Philtranco in Pasay City; Partas Bus Terminal, Five Star Bus Terminal in Cubao, Quezon City to conduct surprise mandatory drug test and K9 sweeping operations.
