“Did you guys miss us?” GOT7 member Jackson asked Filipino Ahgases during the K-pop boy band’s concert in Manila over the weekend.
It took three years for GOT7 to return to the Philippines. For the fans, the long wait was worth it as they felt joy and excitement when JB, Jackson, Mark, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Bambam, and Yugyeom staged their “Keep Spinning 2019 World Tour” at the Mall of Asia Arena.
“(You) don’t know how much we missed you guys. I think it’s been, like, three years maybe (since we were last here). Three years, four years? We wanna say sorry that we made you guys wait too long,” said Bambam.
Mark remarked: “This is the last concert for this year.”
Manila was the last stop of their “Keep Spinning” tour for 2019. They will resume the concert next year.
GOT7 opened their show with “Eclipse,” a track from their “Spinning Top” album that was released in May this year, followed by “Out” and a remix of “Never Ever.”
They also performed “Skyway,” “1,” “Stop Stop It,” “Sign,” “I Am Me,” “Come On,” “Just Right,” “Paradise,” “Look,” “Thank You,” “Save You,” “Teenager,” “Page,” “Lullaby,” “Hard Carry,” “Miracle,” “Fly” and “Go Higher.”
For the solo stages, JB sang “Ride,” and Youngjae performed “Gravity” while Mark, Jackson and Bambam had “God Has Returned” and “Manana,” and Jinyoung and Yugyeom performed together on stage.
Before the show, chosen fans got the chance to have an Ultimate Stan Experience, VIP tickets, exclusive merchandise, and special VIP experience inside venue courtesy of Globe.
Fans had first dibs at buying GOT7 merchandise at the Globe K-mmunity Store. They also enjoyed touring the K-mmunity Studio where they had their pictures taken.
The outpouring of love for GOT7 was palpable inside the arena. Fans waved their lightsticks and displayed banners, which read, “We’ll keep spinning until the last page.”
GOT7 members were apologetic for not returning to Manila sooner. They promised to come back.
“We’re sorry it took us three years to come back. As long as you guys had fun tonight, it’s all that matters. We’re not sure if it will take three years, two years or one year but we will come back. Thank you guys and we’ll see you again soon,” said Mark.
Bambam commented “I don’t know in the future how long it’s gonna take us to come back again but we promise. We’re gonna be back here for sure.”
He added that “when I heard that ‘Keep Spinning’ in Manila was sold out, I was so happy. I cannot wait to come here and meet of all you guys. I had a lot of fun. I enjoyed myself. I hope you guys had a good time, too. Manila. I’m from Thailand. I feel (like) you guys are like a brother.”
Jackson told the audience, “Thank you so much for coming out today. This would not have happened without you guys. Thank you so much. We don’t know when will be back. One thing for sure, we will tell JYP [Park Jin-young, JYP Entertainment founder]. We’re having our comeback. Nov. 4. Thank you, Manila. You guys are the best.”
“Thank you everyone for coming,” said JB.
Youngjae also thanked fans for attending the concert, saying that “for me, three years is too long. Salamat sa pagpunta ninyo ngayon. Magkikita ulit tayo sa susunod. Mahal ko kayo.”
Yugyeom asked them, “Did you have fun tonight? I’m so happy to be back. You give us energy. We will be back. Wait for us. There will be next year. I was so touched because many waited for us. I love you.”
“It’s been a while since we visited the Philippines. It’s an honor to have our last show for 2019 in the Philippines. We don’t get the chance to come here a lot but we thank you for your love. Thank you and I love you guys. Babalik kami. Mahal namin kayo. We are here in Manila because of you,” said Jinyoung.
GOT7 Keep Spinning 2019 World Tour in Manila was presented by JYP Entertainment and Pulp Live World, and powered by Globe.
