A two-year-old boy and his parents were reportedly killed after a fire hit a residential area in Brgy. Pasong Putik, Quezon City on Monday morning.

Authorities from the Bureau of Fire Protection-Quezon City (BFP-QC) identified the casualties as Arbie Delfinado, 24, his partner Jovelyn Ralla, 20, and their son Jhayl Arbie.

BFP-QC fire marshal, Senior Superintendent Jaime Ramirez, said the blaze engulfed the two-story house occupied by the family at Maligaya Street around 12:50 a.m.

Probers said the fire broke out in a bedroom at the second floor of the house where the victims were said to be sleeping.

The fire was immediately raised to second alarm at about 12:58 a.m. as the blaze quickly spread to at least 13 houses made of light materials.

The estimated damage of the fire was pegged at P50,000.

Further investigation is now ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
