A radio and events host from Cebu won 1st runner-up in the Mrs. Philippines World 2019 pageant held in Paris, France on Saturday.

Aida Patana, 45, also won special awards such Best Advocacy, Best National Costume, People’s Choice, and Mrs. Congeniality.
Patana is also a single mother with five children who heads her own talent agency MTalents Events and Promotions. She also hosts “The Aida Patana Show” on 94.7 Energy FM.
This is not the first time she joined a pageant. In 2010, Patana also won 1st runner-up in the Queen of Mandaue.
Patana said that she has been creating livelihood programs for single mothers.
“I want them to stay strong by keeping themselves busy. I’m not embarrassed to sell anything. It’s been 14 years since I separated from my husband. And I’m proud to say that I have not asked for a single cent from him ever since,” she said.
