Lighting up the spirit of the holidays, Rustan’s Makati brought Christmas early to the city’s prime shopping district with the store’s dashing holiday windows, mirroring the cheers and merriness of both the store and the season on its façade.
Known for having beautiful displays all year round, the retail giant promises a joyful Christmas this year with its theme—The Sweetest Christmas at Rustan’s. From the twirling sugar plum princess, gallant princes, jolly Santa Claus to illuminating light shows and festive displays, the store is like a vision coming out of the holiday classic Home Alone, full of sweet dreams to fill every child’s eyes with wonder.
Last Thursday, for the unveiling of Rustan’s Christmas windows—an annual tradition holiday revelers look forward to—guests and customers headed to Rustan’s Makati’s storefront to witness the first magic the store has prepared for the season. Leading the event was the Tantoco family headed by CEO and chairman of SSI Group, Inc. Zenaida Tantoco with her father Bienvenido Tantoco, founder of Rustan’s, gracing the event.
With kids leading the countdown, everyone raised their phone high to capture every moment of it. Much like a fantasy snow globe, the holiday windows showcased the best of the holiday must-haves. From neon colored bears, penguins wearing bomber hats, gilded owls, and pastel butterflies floating in the air, and Christmas trees of all colors and sizes were bedazzled with tiny lights and sparkling ribbons, all luring everyone into the store.
Spreading the gift of giving, the festivities continued inside with tables filled with glazed hams and free-flowing wine and champagne. Musical performances played classic holiday hits in the background that kept everyone in a gleeful spirit. Rounds of games, retail discounts, and a fashion show gave everyone a quick rundown of what to wear for the coming holidays.
“Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Jesus, the nostalgia of giving and sharing, and spending time with your loved ones.” says Zenaida. “This year we anchored our Christmas campaign on the warmth we share with each other and the sweetest experiences the holidays bring to everyone, most importantly the children. We show our love for each other through being thoughtful, by creating sweet memories, and by giving gifts to the people dear to us. We invite everyone to continue this tradition with Rustan’s. ”
Gift of giving
Adding to the sweet note, Rustan’s is gifting shoppers with a special assorted dozen of Krispy Kreme doughnuts with a minimum spend of P15,000 and a bottle of Henriot Brut Souverain for P100,000 until Nov. 30.
Rustan’s is also presenting its arts and crafts weekends for children in all of its stores. Every Saturday, from Nov. 15 to Dec. 14 and 15, kids can join activities from Christmas storytelling and creating their own popper toys at Santa’s Lab Snowball Surprise to crafting snowflakes out of popsicle sticks at Sparkling Snowflakes and an edible one at Mallow Snowflake.
