EXCLUSIVE: Cuts both ways

Actors who become singers are dime a dozen these days. Lance Raymundo and Avon Rosales wear both hats in snug fit.

“I sing not just using my voice but my acting experience give me depth of emotions,” Lance said in an exclusive interview with Bulletin Entertainment.

Then of course, his singing experience and even modeling help with his “presence” that’s so necessary in acting.

“So, I guess parang partners din sila,” he related. “It wasn’t hard for me. It was a very smooth transition.”

Avon, a newbie, is learning a lot with the juggling act.

“Up to now I’m discovering new things and it’s exciting. Du’n ako nagkakaroon ng hunger na I want to learn more, I want to go deep into the artistry of it.”

Since he’s already been around, Lance now releases music that he knows people would like than those that just pleases himself.

Well, Avon is fast-learner and does the same.

“I wanna have everyone enjoy my music. Wala ring fulfillment if natuwa ka sa ginawa mo ta’s nakita mo wala naman nakikinig, nakaka-frustrate din,” Lance added.

Indeed, striking a balance is key. How do they do it in that regard, we asked.

“I usually look at the lyrics din, ’yung storyline niya. I think everyone loves a good story, everyone can relate to a story. So ’yun ’yung una kong tinitingnan – how it flows with me and how relevant it is to everyone’s experience,” she said.
The two have released new songs.

After “Sana,” Lance has put out his version of “Silent Night” that he hopes would cater to music lovers that are also into the likes of Lany and 1975.

Avon, after her debut single “Hawak” last year, has new track “Until Now.”
