A 4.4 magnitude earthquake rocked Northern Samar Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The quake, which occurred at 7:37 am, was tectonic in origin and was traced 2 kilometers Southeast of Lope de Vega, Northern Samar.
It had a depth of 90 km and was felt under the following instrumental intensities: Intensity III in Lope de Vega, Catarman and Mondragon, Northern Samar while Intensity II in San Roque and Pambujan, Northern Samar.
No aftershocks and damages are expected from the tremor.
